Today was our first mission up to Buffalo Pass for the 2021-22 season. We rallied up on sleds to check out snow conditions and see what Mother Nature has provided us. No skiing today, just sledding around, poking in the snow, checking on the cabin, and basic, snow safety exploration.
Hey Powdercatters, We are now ready for your immediate bookings. Private cats and non-private cats can book trips from here on out. Click here to view our calendar. Some things to consider this year:
We've published our dates, rates, how we will book trips starting on May 27, new tweaks to our operations, and much more. We hope all of you are doing well, are vaccinated or immune somehow to COVID, and carrying on with your amazing life. As we do at this time of year, here is our plan for booking trips for next season. It's time to rally your crew, talk things over, and let us know about your powder day with us next winter.
Grateful, relieved, satisfied, thankful, and excited for next year are some of the sentiments our staff has been expressing now that this '20/'21 season is behind us. Wow, what a season it was. We are grateful and thankful to all of you who braved a global pandemic and shared your time with us.
Well folks, after a wild ride of a season (and year), we enjoyed our last day of powdercattin' with some wintery weather and 9" inches of fresh with some more throughout the day for some free refills!! We had our fingers crossed for some soft landings on the last day and we were happily surprised when we took our first turns this morning.
Last year today we closed our doors for the season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. What a year it has been. This isn't happening this year as more snow fell today on top of yesterday's crazy storm. Life is deep and fresh and the weather and virus gods are being kind to us here at the moment.
Since we last wrote, we had just lived through one of the driest January's that we have dealt with. Not only was COVID stressing our system but the lack of snow was painful, to say the least. We were forced to close operations for two and a half weeks in mid-January and the dream of skiing powder was just that, a dream.
We are back in the game! Hallelujah, it snowed again! After being stuck in a spring-like void and not getting snow over [...]
Yesterday we kicked off our 38th season of operation with lots of excitement, gratitude, and Colorado's classic blue bird skies! After continuous planning and adjusting of our day-to-day to match Covid-19 guidelines so our guests and guides can feel safe while skiing powder, it has finally paid off and we couldn't be happier to be floatin' on the freshies once again!
