Thank you for the memories – Booking plan for next winter
Greetings Powdercat,
We love what we do, where we do it, and who we get to do it with, so it’s bittersweet for us to put the snowcats away, knowing that we won’t get to share our passion for searching out fresh tracks with you for another 8 months.
After 95-days of guiding our loyal Powdercats Nation into the cherished lands of Buffalo Pass, shutdown comes with much love and many shared memories. From this season we will remember the epic dumps in December and early January that kickstarted our season; we will remember our road building snowcat Calvin breaking down and our team having to tow it out from deep within the terrain; we will remember our guides and guests doing their best snow dancing during the January and February drought; we will remember COVID, especially when we dropped our mask policy and could see everyone’s smiling faces again; we will remember the deepest powder day of our lives in early March; and we will remember the stoke everyone brings, every day when they walk into our world.
Thanks for sharing these memories and your time with us. In the end, the memories and our shared experiences are what will last forever.
Next winter we will be celebrating our 40th anniversary season and look forward to sharing it with you. See details below for how we will be launching our booking calendar on April 15. It’s now time to talk with your fellow Powdercatters and start planning your next powder day.
As always, thanks for playing with us again, and again, and again. We look forward to talking with you over the next few weeks.
Until then, be well, stay safe, and keep living large.
Your friends at Steamboat Powdercats
2022/23 Calendar Launch
May 10th Update – We are delayed in our opening of the calendar. Please email us with your date range you can come, how many seats, and what ability level if you are looking to book a trip. We will then notify you ahead of us launching the calendar to hopefully get you a booking on your preferred date range. Thanks for your patience and your interest in coming to visit us in the 22-23 season.
We appreciate your wanting to come back for a visit. Our partnership in the powder is a beautiful thing.
Here is the plan as to how we are making bookings for Winter 2022/23, our 40th Anniversary Season!
- From now until April 15th, Powdercats will be loading our “internal calendar”.
- April 15-30th, return guests from this past season should send in their request to rebook the same seats on the same date for this coming season. For instance, if you had 5 seats on a Level II snowcat on Wednesday, March 2nd, 2022, then you will have the option to rebook 5 seats on a Level II snowcat for Wednesday, March 1st, 2023. If we don’t receive your request by April 30th we will assume you don’t want those seats again.
- May 1-7th, any guest from this past season who wanted to come back on their day but got bumped from their date due to our “internal calendar” will be able to pick a new date based on what is still available.
- May 8th and beyond, our online booking calendar is launched and anyone can book a trip(s) via our reservation system.
All bookings require a 50% non-refundable deposit. As always, we recommend guests add on the 10% Activity Insurance that protects you if you need to cancel.
Rates for the 2022/23 season will be $850/seat and $8500/private cat.
We will be updating our website over the next few days to reflect all things 2022/23.
Email kent@steamboatpowdercats for all reservation bookings, inquiries, or questions.
