We LOVE Powder

Happy Valentine's Day, Folks! This morning we were greeted with a loving gift of 12 fresh inches from Mother Nature and boy do we LOVE that!! Though the air temps were the warmest we've seen in several weeks, the snow was super fast and playful which made for a very entertaining day in the backcountry!

She’s Back!

With a little break in the snow, we are back in our happy place. We are expecting snow tonight and starting next week, we're back in our happy place. A snowy second part of February is predicted. Keep it coming!

Earning Turns At The Next Level

The splitboard is the best tool for snowboarders in backcountry exploration and off-piste freeride. It functions as a regular snowboard when going downhill, but for going uphill the board splits lengthwise down the middle and the bindings can be turned to face forward, allowing you to hike and tour the mountains. If you have always wanted to explore the backcountry on a snowboard then splitboarding is definitely for you!

“There Will Be Face Shots”

Most of us who have anywhere from moderate to severe snow sports addictions, look to the storm cycle forecast in order to get an idea for what we will hopefully experience on the mountain. This morning, even though I could see with my own eyes that it hadn't stopped snowing at all since yesterday, I read our local snow forecaster. Joel, our area's meteorologist, got straight to the point this morning my mentioning phrases like "deep fluffy snow", "there will be face shots", and "you will have fun".

Praise to the Powder Gods

Giving a shout out and an extra special thanks to the Powder Gods for showing us some love today.  4 inches during the day and still snowing for next couple days. We are coming off our longest drought of the season thus far at 6 days so its nice to get a refresh today.  Lots of praise to the Powder Gods, HALLELUJAH.
