Taylor Kennedy – Backcounty Snowcat Ski Guide
Taylors first season with Powdercats during the 22/23 season where she worked with our backcountry ski touring program.
Born and raised in the Sonoran Desert, Taylor spends her time in search of snowier places. From the San Francisco Peaks of northern Arizona, to the rugged terrain of Washington’s Olympic Peninsula, and now to Colorado’s northern Rockies, you can find her working and playing on snow.
Taylor has worked several years as a National Park Ranger, stewarding the wilderness at Rocky Mountain, Olympic, and Grand Canyon national parks. She wears many hats through her rangering work, including wilderness EMT, privy hole digger, llama wrangler, and professional pointer.
Taylor studied geology at Northern Arizona University, while teaching ski school at AZ Snowbowl. She has been working in snow since 2014.
After a winter teaching AIARE classes in the front range she found her way to powdercats where she gets to live out her dream of skiing powder every day.
